How we work @ KOSHISH

Based on many years of experience, Koshish believes that sustainable development of disadvantaged communities can be achieved only in a healthy & educated environment. If the best interests of the community are at the heart of everything we do and if the community people themselves actively participate in the process.

We have worked hand-in-hand with downtrodden communities to prevent, manage, and overcome situations that adversely affect a community’s wellbeing – whether environmental, social, financial, health or otherwise.

Community wellbeing is the term we use to describe how we aim to do our development work. It's a rights based approach to development where we support communities to develop the structures and skills they need to provide a safe and healthy environment in which they are able to realise their full potential.

Our Approach

With increased focus on communities rights, we involve communities as active participants in the development process.

Every project is broken down into modules which are assigned to different team members of Koshish. The completed modules are then put together and finished by our core team comprising of experts in that particular field. The approach creates capacity and attracts new followers. This model not only aids the KOSHISH but also helps the interns and volunteers to come aboard and showcase their work.
